General Show Information

 

Shavings:  If you need shavings they can be purchased directly from the Horse Park. Exhibitor should notify Hoosier Horse Park office upon arrival for securing shavings.  Shavings should be paid for at the Horse Park office upon ordering.  Please DO NOT include payment for shavings when returning entries

 

Campsites/Showing from Trailer:  Then Hoosier Horse Park Offers campsites on a first come, first serve basis.  The campsite fee is $16 for $30 amp hook up and $20 for 50 amp hook up.  Campsite fees should be paid upon arrival.  If you plan on showing from your trailer there is a $15 fee per horse for the weekend.  Horses can NOT be left tied! These prices are set by the Hoosier Horse Park and are subject to change.  These fees are to be paid at the horse park office.

 

Early arrival or Late Departure:  The Park will charge $10/stall for early arrivals (before 1:00 pm June 24th ) and/or late departures (After June 27th).  Show management will work with exhibitors and the park to help facilitate these extended stays.  Please contact Kimberly Sullivan at keystonefarm@aol.com  to make arrangements.

 

Special needs:  This show welcomes and accommodates special needs of any exhibitors. Please let show management know in advance if special accommodations are needed.

 

Coggins/Health papers:  A 12-month coggins must be available to show state inspectors for each horse. Out-of-state horses must have a 30-day health paper.

 

Refunds:  Entry fee refunds will only be given on receipt of veterinary certificate.  The certificate must state the reason the horse was unable to show.  Office fees, and stall fees are not refundable.

 

Abuse: Abuse of any animal or unsportsmanlike behavior will not be tolerated. Anyone guilty of either of these offenses will have their entries cancelled and asked to leave the grounds immediately. No Refunds will be given.

 

Other information:

The PA system will be used to make barn calls. However, this is a courtesy provided by the facility. If it does not function, show management will work with the horse park in ensuring this service, but it is not guaranteed.

 

We will be using a two-minute gate call. Please check in with the gate manager when arriving at the make-up ring so the show will continue to move at a steady pace. Gate holds should be requested at least five classes ahead.  If you have back to back classes please have your horses held at the gate.  This will help be show move more smoothly. 

 

Food and other refreshments will be sold at the park. Showers and restrooms are located at the park.

 Directions to Johnson County Park/Hoosier Horse Park

From Indy:
Take I-65 to Exit 80 (Edinburgh). Take SR 252 west thru town to US Hwy. 31. Keep going straight at that intersection (do not turn). You’ll be on Hospital Road (County Road 800 S) --- go 3 miles to Schoolhouse Road --- turn right. Follow Schoolhouse to the Hoosier Horse Park horse statue. You are there. (Landmarks on Hospital Rd.-Camp Atterbury on left, Fish & Wildlife on right, then our Whispering Pines Golf Course.)

From Louisville:

Take I-65 North to Exit 76-B (Edinburgh) --- you’ll see Edinburgh Outlet Mall. Go to the third traffic light, counting the one at the mall --- turn left at the 3rd light. You’ll turn onto Hospital Road, although there isn’t a sign at that location. You will see Camp Atterbury, Johnson County Park and Hoosier Horse Park signs as you approach. Go 3 miles to Schoolhouse Road --- turn right. You are now in the park.
Intersections in the park on Schoolhouse Road have signage marking our facilities.
